Thanks for the link Freightdawg. I read through the PDF, curious as to whether you would be allowed at any park. Seventeen parks are listed as a definite no-no, and the others are questionable. If you are granted access, there are specific areas in those parks that you will not be allowed to hunt. Which from the description, will be very few places. And when you do get to hunt, and find something, you won't be able to keep it. The Parks policy requires that you turn over any historic, or prehistoric artifacts to a member of the park staff. Also, any modern personal items such as jewelry, class rings, etc... are to be turned over to the Park Ranger. I don't see why they would even agree to allow anyone in with a metal detector, if they're going to take everything away that you find. ::)
