Military Button guys I need your help

Ok I dug these on a site that had a homesite in the mid 1800s the only thing I can figure on them is they are Dakota national guard buttons but I have yet to find another one online. I did dig 2 of these but gave one to the homeowner. Anyone have info on theses?
