Hi all- Finally finding time to post here. Got a short hunt in Sun. at my "love token site." Started off with a broken crotal bell. Then dug a large disc that wasn't heavy enough to be a LC. Too dirty to tell, but I was guessing a token. (I was wrong :laughing7:) Lastly, a very nice hat pin that made my day. Relics rule! :icon_thumleft:

The field wasn't muddy today-- hurrah!

Cleaned off the "token" at home to see this....:icon_scratch: :dontknow: ???

Was telling Mike from MI about it, and turns out he dug this same Egyptian pendant a few years back -- crazy!
You just never know what will pop out of the ground next.

Last but not least, this lovely little hat pin that somehow escaped the plow blade. :love2:

HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne
p.s. Mike, please post your Egyptian pendant pics since it is in better shape than mine. :icon_thumright:

Nice digs Anne. You can post them pics. Have not figured out how to get them from my phone to here yet?

The token looks to be of non-terresterial origin ???
All the stones are in the old hat pin, awesome, I too love finding the old personal relics. Nice jobs Anne!

OK, here are Mike's photos. Some kind of Egyptian pendant. :icon_scratch: Not sure on a date.

HH,
Michiganne

Thanks, Mike!

Sweet digs Anne - Love the hat pin and Crotal bell - That pendant musta had the heart thumping for a minute - WTG on a cool, unique find!

That is an awesome find, the token and the pin are making me want to hunt fields now. My nearby fields call to me, they say, find our treasure! :happysmiley:

Some are tokens...some are watch fobs. Looks like Mike's is a watch fob as it has the loop. Yours may just be the token variety.

There is a rough spot on the top of mine where there may have been a loop that broke off. :dontknow:

Yo Deerhunter thanks for the info. Looks like mine and Annes both were the Fob variety! Thanks!

Neat find Anne! Kudos to Deerhunter for that link, pretty sweet. Anne, what do you do with all of your glass and pottery shards?

LOL Most get thrown away but the really pretty ones I keep in hopes of displaying them somehow. I have a friend I've hunted with that plans to use them as a frame border on a homemade shadow box. Or I've thought of making some kind of mosaic with them. :icon_scratch: It seems rather poignant to me to see all these fragments of a former life.....some farm wife's wedding dishes, or her mixing bowl, or a favorite dinner platter, now scattered haphazard over a farm field. :'(

I recently saw some pics of Tnetter's Buckleboy's 2012 finds and he displayed his pottery pieces like this, which I thought was neat. (I don't find as many colored ones as this though.) Pretty cool!

Nice finds, I do like the hat pin Anne and you could make the glass and pottery chips into a heck of a mosaic art piece in countertop border or in tile in your bath.
