A while back, before winter became unbearable, I was researching one spot, and accidentally discovered another spot that saw significant activity from the 1740’s to the late 1800’s. I found two King George coppers on my first trip with 6 inches of snow on the ground.

I finally got to go back, there was still snow, but I was able to find all of this;

I think that the really roached copper is a William III and I think that I can see 1696 if I hold the coin at a certain angle in proper lighting. Not sure though...

These coins were deep, 8 - 9 inches so I’m sure that there’s more beneath the snow. The site is massive and is of historical significance; I think that there will be many more finds here.

I think you’re right about the William III, they’re always toasted, I’ve only even seen 2 come up that had dates. Nice job brother!!
