New to the hunt...looking for input on this bullet.

I found this today and cannot find any matches on any of the civil war galleries. May just be an old hand made bullet. Found this in the field next to my parent's home in East Central MS. It's on their property and close to the house so I know it's jot hunted on. Looks like it has impact damage. I appreciate any help. Still trying to figure out the detector and how to avoid all the junk hits and such.

Post-CW handgun cast round. Beat-up pretty good, and not a recent firing. Probably early 20th century revolver, +/- .30 caliber.
