I'm one of those guys who always has finding an old coin in the back of his mind to top off a day... that didn't happen yesterday but seeing a ring pop up out of the ground sure put a smile on my face.

It was... Nice weather sharing it with someone who likes detecting as much as I do.
Two patent dates on this lantern top

Great finds. Like the RFD mail lock. Found it's mate last year. The lock is probably 1890's. Wonder what the approximate age is on the ring? Congrats and HH

Thanks.
The ring was in a tight group and of items all from the same time frame.. Don't know how old it was when it was lost but I'm thinking it was on someone's finger somewhere between 1890 and 1910

The area was a hotel that opened in 1886 ... Turns out I found a room key tag for room #5..I thought it was a small livestock tag at first.
