There is a product called "BON-AMI". It is an all purpose, non-abrasive cleanser that I use to clean the windshield on my car, or any other glass surface. I bought a can at WAMART. I tried it to clean some clads the otherday, using my tumbler, along with pistachio nut shells. "Eat the nuts first" and add some water. After the shells soak in water, for a while, they become softer. I put in about 2 tablespoons of BON-AMI. I let it run for abour 4 hours and the clads came out very clean. No scratches. Don't make the mistake that I did, the first time I used it, and put in a penny without knowing it and all the coins came out pink. I tried it with a batch of cents, even an Indian head, with good results. The only reason I used clad coins, haven't found any silver yet.
