I got some great material from a friend. Was doing billet strikes and making decent progress, for a newbie.
I was happy with the general shape and it was getting thinner.
(3” little man, for size)

I had a bit of a hinge on the back side. This seems to be the cause of the break.
All-in-all, still pretty encouraging up to the point of the break.
I’m betting that after a few 1000 years, I’m not the first to have this issue.👍🏼

Every Indian knapper was taught by someone with experience. You’re trying to figure it out by yourself. You’re more like the first hominid to try to work flint a million yrs ago! Go to YouTube and watch videos. If I was closer I’d give you some lessons. Keep at it and you will get better.
