A magician's half. You might be able to separate the sides if you look for a very small crease around the rim of the coin.

Yes. And if that doesn't work, I usually but it in a glass cup, and shake it around. works for me

This is the way to do it without damaging the coin.

Grabbing a glass now. Thanks for the tips. Heard about theses, didn't really know what o look for.

Got it open. 1971 20 Centavos coin for the back. Pretty cool.
