Late Sunday afternoon dig.
On this rainy/drizzle of a day I headed down to a favorite park to try out some areas I've spent little time detecting.
There's definitely some potential here from what was found.
Found not one, but two Buffalo nickels: 1925 and 1936. There were 7 wheats dug, with the earliest being 1916, 1923 and 1939. Near an oak tree I got a great sounding signal and recovered a watch or clock winder. Another evidence that this part of the park has not been detected heavily is the $2.35 in clad, including 7 quarters.
So I think I'll be headed back.
