The school building itself is long gone and buried under tract houses but the area that was the athletic field is still an open field. The school operated from the 1920's till the 1980's. I hit it yesterday and found about 16 coins, including a worn out 1921 wheat and a nice 1950 silver quarter. The cool thing was the newest coin I found all day was a 1977 penny so it felt like every beep had potential.

Awesome, nothing like a nice silver quarter to make the day!

Love a hunt that produces silver. Good Luck in your future hunts at that site.

Do you have access to this area for a while ? I like the quarter !

Thanks, there doesn't seem to be new construction planned anytime soon so I'll go back at least a couple more times. I don't expect to find anything ancient but more silver and wheat seem realistic!

Wow, just pulled a 1914 Barber Quarter out of there! Down the 3rd base line where the baseball field was. I'll post a pic in a new thread.
