Could "CB" be ... Cooper Brothers & Co from Sheffield?

----- C
Cooper Brothers & Sons were a Sheffield Based Company who produced some good quality silver, especially spoons from 1850 to 1964

I would assume BH and the date was the date engraved to give to that individual?

I found an old spoon in my yard with markings, but it was very hard to read them...so it just sits in my box..

Nice find!

***Ok, just re-read your post...might not be the Cooper Brothers as they did not start till 1850 and your spoon is engraved 1836...back to the drawing board.... :icon_scratch:
