The weather has been at least trying to cooperate.
Higher than average temps but it's been very damp!
This can be a good thing as it helps in depth.

So, today I went back to my test area at a local spot.
I've been experimenting with the way the deeper signals
tend to change the normal VDI. Deeper coins typically don't
ring up at the normal numbers. Like a wheatie usually
shows up somewhere between 72-78. Unless it's very deep or
very corroded. (And I've found that deeper ones tend to
form a rather heavy green coat).

I intended to do just this today but it gets mighty tedious.
So, I broke the day up with a couple easy jaunts across the
usual fare. The woodchip playpen, the bus loading areas, etc.

It helped to make kind of wet/nasty day into a fun one.

See if you agree:

In the first place, when one's first experimental plug
shines up like this....well...how bad can the day be? LOL
The first precious metal for me this year.

A pretty wide array of finds! Kept the day interesting!

A cover off some colonist's privvy, circa 1606. ;)

The coins were all over the place.

This one was a complete surprise.

I think Fishy is trying to emulate the Blingster.
Yep...that's a "10" As in 10k, it passes the test too.

Blingie has a double! Shiny AND sparkly! :)

Thanks for peeking!

Fishy wanted to let you know rings like that can be restored to like new. He also said you will need a BIG credit card balance to do it right. I just had one done, it was either that or scrap the thing. Good job. Gold is where you find it.

Congrats on your first gold of the year! And a nice assortment of finds!

Looks like Fishy is about to make a cameo appearance in a 10 K ring, and Blingie is getting right to the point with his!

Very nice walk and great results of methods testing. A+ !!!

That wet dirt sure was full of surprises!
