For the last few relic hunts I decided to go exclusively with the ORX. I have a Deus and got the ORX controller and headphones used as a backup plan. Well now they are Plan A. I hunt for relics primarily with Gold mode at 14 or 30 khz, Reactivity at 2, no iron reject, and a touch of threshold with Iron Volume on. I like the ORX interface over the Deus with Pop Up target ID, iron probability meter, and one touch ground grab. The Gold mode also seems to be optimally tweaked vs. Gold Field on the Deus. All-in-all you can't argue with this host of recent finds over the last few weeks including a couple of firsts (Confederate Block "I", a Mexican 1830 1/2 Reale, and a Spencer Carbine minie ball) and plenty of other silver, brass, and lead. If you relic hunt and are considering a Deus or ORX, I say don't be afraid to go for the Orx as a great value pick.
