Penny CRH's

I always check the Take a Penny Leave a Penny cups at deli's, gas stations, etc for wheaties. An old timer saw me sifting through a cup and he asked if I collected. Told him yes, of course. Well, the old timer said that if you look at 1999 and 2000 pennies that you should read the AMERICA. He claims that there is a noticeable space in between the A and the M. He also claims that some of these pennies with the space in between are going for as much as $80 if they are in mint condition. Has anyone heard of this? I hope this true and you guys are all prosperous in your findings.

It's called a wide AM. I have found one, but I don't normally look for such things.
