Got out for a a dive and a half today. Second dive was a disaster and had to quit. My right ear was throbbing for some reason. Maybe the beginning of an infection.

However, first dive was pretty good. I think you can call three rings good. First one is a Boblo Amusement Park ring from Detroit. Second is silver and the third is 13.72 grams of 14K gold. Looks like it was supposed to be a signet but they either wanted it plain or were waiting for it to be engraved when it was lost.

The petrified goose is a piece of driftwood I thought looked close to a Canadian goose.

Three Washington's, a rosey and my second LEAD nickel out of this spot. First one as the indentation of a buffalo on it, this one is plain but is exactly the same size as a nickel to go into a vending machine.

I did dive for two pair of Maui Jim glasses and a few other things and found them all first thing this morning. Another 110.00 to add to my diving fund.

Wow! What a honker of a ring. Looks like you're starting to get settled in. Thanks for sharing these sweet finds!

Nice going Scuba, that's a heck of a chunk of gold!

Nice gold ring. You can have your custom tag throne on there mate. Hope that ear gets better.:icon_thumleft:

Congratulations on your BIG shiny! Hope you are not getting an infection. Your season is way too short to lose any time at the peak.

Nice ring! Nothing like getting a honker on your dive. Hope your ear won't cause you any problems, it might ground you for good while if it's an infection.
If the piece of wood was rotated over it would be an interesting looking monster. :)

Very nice Scuba. You found some great items, petrified goose included.

Congratualtions on the large gold recovery! :notworthy:

Congrats on the rings!!! Especially the HUGE gold one with the blank.. SUPER NICE...Wow.. :occasion14:

Have someone take a peek at that ear. Hopefully its not infected, but if it is get an antibiotic. GL & HH

It is pretty hard not to find some good stuff when I am the only one looting this underwater park. If you look at this picture taken in 1917 you can see people wading past this radio tower. I have found the footings to it. They are in 8' deep water. Nobody wading with a detector can get out there. This is all virgin territory.

The problem with this area is everything is DEEP. Since it hasn't been used since 1963, muck, weeds and sand has filled this place in. I am finding pockets of good signals but haven't yet found the mother load that I believe is out there.

I want to find where these two slide ends are,

This is one of the last pictures of this place before it was demolished. Slides are long gone and so is the dock and all the buildings. I have found some dock posts and some chains that held the one floating dock down and a chain that has me puzzled. I wish I knew where everything was. If I could get rid of 8 inches of muck I am positive the finds I get out there would blow everyone away.
