Hello all,

I was wandering around my backyard after several days of rain. A few rocks washed up and I took interest in one in particular. I’m having trouble identifying it. I think it may be red jasper but am unsure. If anything it could just be a cool rock. Interested in what you all may think it is.

Thanks

yeah, jasper or quartzite. does the fracture (where it's broken) look more blocky or grainy? Blocky = jasper, grainy = quartzite. Jasper is an opaque chalcedony (usually...jasper is a pretty broad classification) and quartzite is a metamorphosed sandstone.
