Just doing a bit of tidying up on some older threads, mainly for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

None of these items are sterling silver.

The decanter tag is no older than vintage and has pseudo-hallmarks in British style, but is silverplate. I don’t recognise the maker.

The fish serving set with the ‘staghorn’ handles has typical marks for ‘Old Sheffield Plate’ on the knife and those are notoriously difficult to track down. I would think mid to late Victorian. Despite being silver plate, I don’t think $75 is an entirely unreasonable price for that kind of quality.

I spotted a couple of these Pottery Barn wine tags awhile back in a thift store. The hallmarks got my attention and when I picked one up, I knew by the thickness and heavy weight it was a bogus novelty item before I flipped it over to see the logo on the back. They didn't stay on the shelf very long. Seems they were gone the next day.
