It most definitely is a a fake that was cast from a mold. Note the "cobwebs" connecting various elements in the shield, and the cross side's lions exhibit tell-tale casting bubbles. Cool find and not as bad as other fakes. Most definitely could pass as genuine and an interesting conversation starter at a bar.

May be a reproduction, but really nice. Check shipwreck jewelry on the internet and be surprised at the prices of the reproductions.
