It was a bitter cold day but I decided to hit a few back roads just outside the local civil war park. I don't know if it was the cold, the native stone, the hill or what in the world was the problem but my F2 was giving chatty false (foil-zinc) hits like crazy. I tried various notch settings and turning my sensitivity way down but just couldn't get any good hunting in today.
I went all the way to the top of this big hill. It was about 34°F, overcast skies, lots of native stone, which seemed to be causing the false hits. Limestone bedrock sticking out of the top.
