Nice score. A few days ago I was thinking that you were overdue for a dream box, and here it is! :icon_thumright:

It's too bad the CRH forum couldn't have it's own banner system. Over 200 keepers...that's a double dream box. Over 100 90% halves, which snuffs out the 40% vs 90% dream box argument. Posts like this are as good as it gets.

I just registered on this site a few minutes ago and saw your post. How are you finding this silver ??? Are you metal detecting or buying half dollar rolls at the banks ???

Coin roll hunting, not metal detecting. Now this is a dream score for CRHing, but it would be a mega-dream score for detecting.

Congrats Bigscores!

Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun rolling through this box. Knew I was going to beat my prior best when I had 30 keepers out of the first 10 rolls. Only 5 rolls had nothing, and 2 only had one. Wondering where the rest of these boxes are... might be another one out there if somebody is lucky.

This kind of goes back to what we were talking about with how coins are packaged. I initially figured the holding bin on my local Brinks coin roller was large. I assumed they took bag after bag and toss them in, essentially mixing the bags. But It's become clear to me that my local brinks is doing one bag at a time. It's hard to explain but you can tell when/if you get a box and certain rolls are from a different bag. Based on that, there's likely a twin box out there.

:4leafclover:Here's to hoping you find it!:leprechaun-hat::tchest:

I'd agree, based on some awesome finds I had this summer. The bin is smaller than we think.

While I don't disagree with you guys, there were "indicators" that a dream box was coming... highly concentrated rolls in otherwise unremarkable boxes. Here's a roll I pulled last week, I think there was like 3 '64's and a couple 40% in the rest of the box.

It's all a matter of timing... I think the "bin" holds probably about $4k or so in halves, and some get stuck up/caught and fall into the wrapper in bunches. Watch "The Count Room" scene from casino if you want a glimpse at what industrial-level coin counting looks like. Skip to the 1 minute mark.

I have had the same feeling for a while, I got a few rolls that had 3 or 4 and nothing else in the box. They were in boxes that were ordered weeks apart as well. The coins are worn and faded the same. Hopefully there is a box where every roll is that way and hopefully i get it.
