So I've been painting all weekend. Totally lame considering this may be the last weekend before the ground freezes. So at 3 when I finished, I had to babysit my son. It's been raining a ton here and the local park is soaked but we go anyway. I wasnt expecting much and halfway through my boy fell in a huge mud puddle. Instead of leaving like a good parent, we continue hunting. Low and behold next signal...

A few more clad while my son complained about his two soakers then...

Look at them wet feet. I'm a terrible babysitter but a good silver rescuer.

Nope! Don't think I'm gonna follow you this time. I hate wet feet!! LOL

So cute!

And the finds aren't half bad either!

Oh Steve I for one am disappointed in you.
You take that poor kid out in the pouring rain
To Feed your own hobbies and habits
All he wanted was a warm dry rug to play trains or boats on but nooo
Out digging coins with daddy.
Priceless

Your wife must have been happy when you came home.
With a cold wet baby.
Poor kid. Oh gee.

Sweet silvers! He had his metal detecting helmet on, so that's safe babysitting... which pretty much negates the wet feet part. :laughing7: Looks like you two had fun and saved some nice coins.

There's nothing wrong with teaching your kid that the world is a sandbox! ...I'd look into the child labor laws in your county, this could be forced labor on your part! Lol!

Great saves by Steve's kid!

Nice video's, your son is a natural! Buy him a Minelab Go-Find 20, pin pointer and digger and take him hunting. You could sell the idea as you are giving your wife some "quality relaxation time" while you are both out hunting. I sell it this way, but think she is on to me. :laughing7:

If it's your son you aren't "babysitting", you are parenting. You were teaching him a valuable lesson, that some days, no matter how bad the weather, you just gotta go with daddy and have a life experience! Congrats on the silver.

Hey, what's a little hypothermia in a kid when you are finding double silver, plus he won't (likely) remember it when he's grown.
