Yes sir, there is a dredged channel into the St Sebastian River. Last time I was through there it was 4-5 feet deep from the ICW to the Highway 1 bridge. The area from just inside the bridge to the RR bridge is generally 7+ feet down the main channel. Swing wide of the point of land on the south side...center yourself between the point and the north shoreline and you will be fine. The channel under the RR bridge is close to the north bank and is marked. From there you have to bear right...follow the channel and it is 6+ feet deep a long way back up the C-54 canal.
If you look at Google Earth, the picture of the Sebastian River area was taken on a very clear day and you can see some of the sand and oyster bars.
I live about 150 feet from the river...what else do you need to know?
:)
