A friend saw my only flying eagle cent, dug on a battlefield. Barely recognizable.

He said, "I've got one the same year, and it's a lot better than THAT old thing. You can HAVE it."

I explained to him that it had collector value, especially in THAT condition (Pretty fine except for the tiny punch holes??). He said, "I want you to know what yours DID look like." I said, "OK, if you INSIST . . . "

yes but even though its in rough shape your old worn out coin has "history" being a battlefield find.. nice of him to give you a "holded" coin --being holed tends to ruin its collecters value " btw but its was still a nice thing to do

PARRSON NEAT FLYING EAGLE YOU HAVE . EVEN ROUGH DOSENT MATTER . THE HISTORY AND A NICE FREIND TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT.. I GAVE MY NEPHEW ONE THAT MY MOTHER FOUND AT THE HOMESTEAD WHERE SHE WAS BORN IT WAS A 1857 EAGLE AND IT WAS IN DAMN GOOD SHAPE.
