I'm pretty sure that's just lead. Interesting though. I'm thinking (hoping?) 1887, not 1987. I was at a pretty old location. I don't even know where I'd start to find the origins of that pendant.

I've seen fishing weights that looked similar minus the clover
 

I don't believe it is lead. No white patina on the center insert. If the bezel were lead, it would fall apart.

The bezel looks like silver, it has no pops or flaws where the plating is breaking loose. Further examination of the bezel is needed to determine it's composition. (Psst, it's silver).

If you scrub it with baking soda and water on a toothbrush... the bezel ought to shine right up. Give it try, post a pic and hopefully you will be amazed!
