I'm not sure that is a great artist but someone who may love to do Needlepoint. Anyway, here is their website: North Penn Art - I would call them or maybe send them an e-mail with a picture and see what they have to say?

For some reason I read the title of this as "Signed Mr. BEAN Embroidered Picture" and I got a bit excited.

Trust me....do a google search and it comes up with Mr. Bean images. I was literally cracking up.

I called them today bc they are only 25 min or so from home for me. The owner opened the shop 30+ years ago and he is on vacation til next week. Road trip!!!

Just doing a bit of tidying up on some older threads, mainly for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Interesting. I don’t know who M. Bean might be, but the design appears in this book as “Turkish Peacock, from an embroidered bedspread, Albanian (Jenina), 18th Century”:

Either someone has painstakingly copied it in modern times or, more likely I think, the marked canvas was sold as an embroidery kit in a museum shop or similar. I wouldn’t think it has substantial value.
