I decided to make some tweaks to the Etrac. Increased gain to 27, sensitivity +2, fast on, deep off. Turns out it made a difference. (I was running it conservatively on out of the box factory settings) Went to my local closed 1920's school and found this beaten up 1912-D Barber dime on it's side 5 inches down against a large tree root. Found two other deeper wheat cents 41,52 6+ inches on the side of a slope. This school has given up 6 silver dimes which now makes it tie with another school I hunt at. The USN ring was found sunday near a basketball court at an older school. 4 Inches in a ball of very dark soil. 925 sterling, fits good too.
