For those of you who snorkel and detect do you use any indicator to let people know your there?

I've never tried snorkelling yet but I would like to try this summer as I was finding some good targets farther out at a lake i regularly hit. I would think if you had your floating sifter with you while snorkelling, you could put a dive flag on the sifter. Good point QMaze. Gotta watch out for them boats and jet skis.

It is worse when diving in shallows. The good thing is you can hear a boat, but still a good idea to look up before ascending. Using flags is good, but I have had jokers also use it as something to turn around. I don't use a flag when with a snorkel because I feel there is enough of me on the surface to see.
