Thanks man, The really toasted one has raised dots instead of numbers on the fuse. Both of these shells are case shot, full of lead balls.

what is the y shaped item?

According to the excavated artifacts book I have, It's a 1855 Y pattern Enfield gun tool. It's missing the bullet worm, which I found 4 in the same area as the tool. They are next to the tool in the pic
