MIGHT BE WWI - THEY USED THAT STYLE IN WW II ALSO - BUT BECAUSE YOU FOUND 1917 WHEAT IN AREA - LEANING TOWARDS WW I

3 hour hunt today and my son found the 1917d wheatie and the big military button. I found all the fake jewelry and pulltabs. Thats how it goes sometimes. Not sure when military buttons are from, mabe ww1 ??

nice finds! found one exactly like the big eagle one my buddy the button guru says its world war 1.

Your button is a Great Seal Button that started use in 1902. They were used in both WW1 & WW11. You can tell by the different styles & backmarks which war they were used in.
