What you have there is a Geofact. A item from nature that has, to the untrained eye, some resemblance to artifacts, however superficial.

I assume by your title you are in South Carolina. New to this hobby only 6 months in. Have found several interesting pieces. Apparently there was much activity in my area. Would love to add photos to get some input on what I have so far. I live near the Topper dig site Allendale SC
