Hi everyone, hope your all having a great week, just think, tomorrow is friday! h8B773AF1.jpg This post tonight is a bit different from my usual ones, you'll see why. It started a little over 2 weeks ago, we both woke up one morning, feeling like crap, and by the next day, Chug was home for 3 days, in the meantime, I was getting sick, nothing was staying down, and my fibro was acting up big time too.

By last friday, I was vomitting blood, and started getting heartburn really bad, and was getting a sore throat. Chug was up out of bed in record time, and once we got to the hospital, I went straight back to a bed. I had 2 people each trying to get IV's going, my arms are so bruised and nasty looking, they had to bring in a specialist and she even had a hard time.
BangHead.gif
They were taking blood big time, I had a MRI, cat scan, x rays, my white blood count was over 500 hundred thousand, and I was severely dehydrated.
After a bit, the Dr came in and said it looked like I had had a heart attack, and they were sending me up to CICU to be watched. Meanwhile, I still had bags and bags going in, plus they added sugar and potasium bags also. The next morning my nurse was checking my vitals and getting ready to give me a shot for pain, and I had another one while she was right there, they had me in emergency surgery so darn fast it made my head swim! I was allowed to call Chug, and he raced to see me before I went in. They found 2 blockages both at 90%, and to top it all off, I was in diabetic keto acidosis, (Not sure of spelling) They tried 6 different meds to stop my vomiting, and at least 4 for the heartburn. I also found out some scary stuff, when women have heart attacks, their symptoms are totally different from men's. The severe heartburn, vomiting, and trouble taking a deep breath were my signs, I shouldn't even be here now, but I am, and we both are so thankful that I was given another chance at life. Next time you feel sad, mad, or whatever, just take a moment, close your eyes, and enjoy. When I do that, I feel the sun on my face, I feel the wind, I hear my heartbeat, and so much more, it's wonderful to be alive, and I'm more determined than ever to live it to the fullest!

I did have some fun in the hospital, Chug brought in a bunch of stuff that we had found, and my nurses, and Dr's were asking what was in the bag! I had a blast telling ppl about our treasures, the gun powder flask was a big favorite! LOL Some ppl were awed to be holding something that old, and they loved that we knew alot of the history, we told them that's cause we belong to the best website ever, and what we don't know, there are ppl here that will! IMG_0096.JPG IMG_0097.JPG These were taken the weekend before we got sick, Stan is my walking stck, and Jan is my machine, named after my late mom in law! 1.jpg This is the view from my room in ICU, 0212131750a.jpg IMG_0091.JPG Chug added something to my board, can anyone spot it? :laughing7: 0213131522.jpg 0213131521a.jpg IMG_0092.JPG Now mind you, we had one slight hurdle, our 18th wedding anniversary was Valentines day! I was lucky enough to get out in the afternoon, so we could still celebrate it together. And Chug totally went above and beyond this year. I had had my eye on this one ring set in our favorite pawn shop for a couple of years, the price slowly went down, and I dreamed of owning it someday, well, Chug made my dream come true! When he put the box on my tray, I started crying, and said no, you didn't. I couldn't even see it I was crying so hard, and my hands were shaking, and now, here is my new baby! Now if we could just find out how old this set is. IMG_0094.JPG IMG_0093.JPG I will post more pics later, I'm getting tired and in pain, oh, my kidney surgery has been put off till my heart is stronger. And when we file our income tax, Chug is getting a water machine and scoop for a late anniversary present! Thanks for reading, I'm looking forward to getting back out there and doing some more digging! Take care everyone, and stay safe, enjoy life and HH! Red aka Dirty girl!:laughing7:

Hi Red, maybe Chug read my poem for you and maybe not, so here is one just for you. I Hope you feel better.....Joe

"What it is to be a poet"

To feel the crushing sadness
of every being who has ever cried
To know the pure joy and love
of every angel seated at God's side

To be a billion million pieces scattered
no two in the same direction
To be whole with the entire Universe
One complete connection

To love and to lose
to die and to live
pull the words from the deepest sanctums
of your soul.....and give!

I'm glad to see you're doing better Red, and have a quick recovery. I have to be honest, you two are the "MOST ROMANTIC" couple I have ever encountered. Yeah, there may be a handful few of others out there, but still are still not in your league.

Happy to say your doing better One symptom you forgot My wife had a heart attack years ago and the only symptom she had was impending doom. No others. In fact the dr. in the er. was going to send her home until the nurse asked to take a 12 lead. If she went home she would have died according to her heart doctor. gd bless

Well, thanks to medicine you are for sure good for about 30-40 more years. And you also know how to get what you want. Just fake the next illness and maybe you'll get a Rolex. You are also off call for sex until YOU desire it. Also, just say"honey, I'm not sure I'm strong enough to make that trip" and that gets you out of going someplace you don't want to go. Now, telling him your doctor says Paris would be good for you is pushing it a bit, but saying he said Las Vegas would be good for you is believable. You play this right and you get breakfast in bed, presents and yes dear, anything you say dear for the rest of your life. By the way, your ring is really, really gorgeous.
