SWITZERLAND (not shown on this list)

has NO MURDER OCCURRENCE!

However, SWITZERLAND'S law requires that EVERYONE....

1. Own a Gun

2. Maintain Marksman qualifications....regularly

3. "Carry"........a Weapon.

We never hear about this?

I am not surprised, because this does not advance the Liberals' Agenda.

Your claims that Swiss citizens must own and carry a weapon are not accurate:

Gun politics in Switzerland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Additionally, I only looked up 1 country in your list, Honduras, and found that it most certainly does not have a "100% gun ban" as you state above.

Gun politics in Honduras - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Additionally, almost every country in that list is an underdeveloped third world country with problems that we do not have in the United States.
Also, you left out Australia, who's rate is 1.3. Australia has similar gun laws as the US does, only with more controls.

Be careful, as statistics can be manipulated to prove almost any point. This article leaves out a LOT of pertinent information. IMO, it is a bunch of hogwash.

Funny, Australia has similar gun laws, they do not have similar gun laws, they have strict gun control.

As former Australian politician Tim Fischer turns the shooting of Christopher Lane into an opportunity to push a travel boycott until the U.S. changes its gun laws, police in Sydney launched "a new plan to tackle out-of-control gun violence" there.

The new action against gun violence was launched on August 21 and will pull together various police-sponsored gun control operations into one. The name of the new effort is Operation Talon.

According to the Ballina Shire Advocate, "over 9,000 guns have been taken off New South Wales (NSW) streets and 3352 people have charged" during previous operations in the last 12 months alone.

NSW police commissioner Andrew Scipione explained: "There is no single source of gun violence... guns have fallen into the hands of organized crime, outlaw motorcycle gangs, mid-level crime groups and petty thieves and the lines are often blurred."

Not ironically, Australia implemented a massive purge of guns in 1996, which included bans on "assault weapons" and other semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. They also did forced buybacks and then entered into a strict licensing and registration agreement where certain single-shot rifles and similar firearms could be owned but only if the owner provided justification for the possession of such a weapon.
*
Yet 17 years after the implementation of gun control schemes that are very similar in many ways to those being pushed by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the NSW police department is launching a new operation to rein in gun violence.*

The lesson: criminals do not pay attention to gun bans. They never have and they never will.

As usual, there is more to the story in Honduras.
Citizens are currently allowed to own up to 5 guns, All of them must be registered. The country is trying to make it 1 gun, with special licenses to own "it" and specials licenses to carry "it". The countries government is hoping to make ALOT of money in this scam.

And 3000 weapons disappeared from their armories in 2002. I am sure, as usual, the armed forces have been compromised there, and that if they continue this path, it will be bad for the citizenry soon. Likely not all the missing gov. weapons are being reported.

Switzerland is also one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
Many of the countries on the above list are considered to be in extreme poverty.

Singapore:
It is listed as the wealthiest country in the world.
It is also described as having one of the lowest crime rates in the world.
Murder rate was 0.5 in 2009.
"The regulation of guns in Singapore is categorised as restrictive" and "Self-defense permits are nearly never granted, unless one can justify the 'imminent threat to life that cannot be reasonably removed'".

IMO, the correlation between murder rate and wealth/poverty is a better match.

Simple deduction Ben . If things like Gun Control & Obocare were so great then why would politicians in D.C. exempt themselves ? Do as I say , NOT as I do ..:BangHead:
