I call it the silver tumble when your digging a signal that may be a penny and out of the clod "tumbles" that little chunk of silver. Unexpected but will always bring that smile to your face. I've been more concerned with turkey season but ground seems to have just the right amount of moisture. The frustrating part is that the lawns grass is growing like crazy and it's a workout to keep the coil to the soil. thanks for looking!!!

For me, your Barber has perfect patina. I actually like them better like that than shiny.

I agree with you Old Dude. The patina on the coin is perfect. Also, the condition of the coin looks to be excellent for being dug. I bet that coin did not have much circulation before it was lost. Great coin borntohunt!!

That's very nice toning! Nothing worse than an old coin shining like a new piece of tin foil....just my opinion of course lol

Yep, pretty much sums it up.

That is exactly how you want silver to look out of the ground! Congrats on a very nice dime!

I def, like my Barbers to have that look ,Even store bought.
As I find at the Coin stores any later Barber in that condition 'XF' (Forget about the details grade) will be Shiny.
Awesome Coin.

Nice Barber. I love digging them when they still have that "sharp" feel to the edge. I have a couple that must have been dropped soon after entering circulation. Don't find them like that too often !
