This was most certainly not my expected outcome running about 4-5 cups of super concentrate through my bucket sluice. This would be the 4th run to get flour gold.
Run #1 - Small V-matting, 2 different widths
Run #2 - Screened to minus 50 mesh --> bluebowl
Run #3 - Screened to minus 70 mesh, --> miller table
Run #4 - re-ran Run #3 through bucket sluice.
I have always experienced drop riffle highbanker sluices / highbankers to capture even the finest gold, but for the bucket sluice to catch what both the miller table and bluebowl missed was a complete surprise. And most of this gold is very-very tiny.
I set the bucket sluice at about 12 degrees, and adjusted the flow so that the first two drop riffles emptied the drop riffle volume about 3/4 after 8 seconds. You could see the captured gold in the riffle, while the riffles were getting good exchange.
