This weekend's 12 boxes

I had 12 boxes to go through this weekend, 4 from each of three branches of the same bank. This bank had been producing well for me as of a couple of weeks ago, but it seems things dried up in a hurry. Only two 40% keepers last week and with this weekend's boxes we had 6 more 40%, all from the same box. The rundown:

Box 1-7: skunk
Box 8: 6 40%
Box 9: skunk
Box 10: 3 clad proofs
Box 11: skunk
Box 12: 3 clad proofs

Oddly enough two of the proofs from box 10 were enders. I'll add pics of those later on.

I think I may try switching banks for a little while. Tough to stay motivated when 11/12 boxes are skunks.

I'm glad to read somebody else saving those clad proofs. Did 2 boxes halves this week, no silver, but box 2 had 10 clad proofs from 02-09 edge so sharp almost cut my finger. Small scratch or two on the obverse and I know this devalues them greatly, but gosh, they gotta be worth more 50 cents.

I just edge search so I'm not really seeking them out, but the ones I find have edges so sharp I cant help but check them. If I do find them and they are in decent shape I keep them, although I have had several that were so beat up or discolored I just threw them back.

I have found quite a few that have been throwed back before, I release them as well. I only keep the best of the best.

Nice finds!! I still can't beleave i found 5 silver proofs a few weeks ago. And it was from 3 diff.. boxes.

They have S mintmarks. If you edge search, silver proofs will look white (like a silver half), and clad proofs commonly have very shiny edges.
