Well what can I say … we had a gorgeous day, blue skies and plenty of walking… dug lots of lead, but found a few keepers for you all to view. This field I think will give us more once it’s settled, it’s been disked and I think that affects the signals somehow… we have found that to be the case in other fields.. 🤔 but anyway I loved feeling the warmth of the sun and meandering about.

First off I found a Roman disk brooch, smaller than the one himself found yesterday (second pic is them side by side) then a strange chunky piece.. the he found this brilliant medieval buckle, a weird bit next.. gold gilt one one side back is smooth I don’t think it’s a button, but maybe… 2 bits of buckle, musket ball and quarter of one.. then my find of the day a small silver spoon, and course buttons.

Took some pics of the scenery as everything is looking pretty again xx 😍

It's that cool-now you have a his and her's matching brooches. :)

#5 is an interesting item, is that dirt still in the divots?
Can see a pattern on the front as well.

Silver spoon still counts in the silver count.
Yes that's a really nice looking buckle the Himself dug-well done.

Yes, on the disced dirt effecting the detecting.
Newly worked dirt has air in the soils, once it's rolled, or settled, it'll be a new adventure once again.

Love the pictures..
The Roman history in England is amazing.
My grandmother was also from England.
I would love to visit and bring the metal detector one day
