Those of you that have followed some of my post over the last year know that i have been detecting a 1700's log home here in my home town. When i first got permission to hunt it last year i used the D2 coil first and noticed right away that i needed to use my smaller coils. The home owner rotor tilled the yard to get ready to plant grass so my days of detecting there are numbered. I have been there everyday this week using my smaller coils 4x6,6x10 and have not been disappointed today I used the D2. I got a no date SLQ my 2nd Fav coin behind the Walker half. Then I dug a some kind of Dan Swoyer camp 86 Badge with a date on the back 10/1/1927. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting to all

Congrats on the SLQ.
I find that shield to be quite interesting. I started some research to try to find out who or if there was a Dan Swyer.
Thanks for a really inspiring post.

It appears he was the Class of 1929

so i'm guessing he received that award in 1927 from the P.O.S. of A.

Daniel Swoyer lived in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania at 430 West Market St in 1940, which is also where he lived in 1935. He was the head of the household's son, 29 years old, and identified as white. Daniel was born in Pennsylvania around 1911. In 1940, Daniel was married. In 1940, Daniel had two siblings named Gerald and Christine.

last Swoyers (by Name) in the House 1970's No Swoyers listed as owning property
in the Township at this point. the Sisters & daughters, daughters & Sons of Daughters & Grandchildren change things :( so that is where Luck or a better researcher comes in :( you got 76 years of change just since the 1940 census.
and over 100 years of change since Dan's Birth.
