I didn't watch.
Just leave the door unlocked at my place.
Door seals ( not the animals type seals) can freeze too. And make a door seem locked at times.

Shed padlock freezes . I'll put the key in and palm it in my hand while holding the lock in the other. Osmosis does the rest. Sometimes after switching hands a couple times.
I've tried heating the key with a lighter but it didn't seem to gain much. And risks softening the key.
Or melting plastic on newer car keys.

Been awhile now since I had a vehicle that was a key only door lock. I've been pushing a button on my key fob for the last 10+ years it seems.
