I'm on my way to SLC for business and I70 is closed and I80 gives me tunnel vision, so I took the famous "trail ridge road" west. It was up early and I pretty much beat the crowd. I saw a large herd of Elk way above the timbers in the distance. It looked a bit to far for me to walk over for some close ups, so I just took a few shots from far away. I counted 6 Bulls within the herd and there may have been a few more. It was cold and the wind was blowing pretty strong up there. It was hard to see with my eyes getting all watered up from that cold blast wind.
