William A. White stated he was a "dry goods merchant" in the 1900 Census. He had moved to Charlottesville by 1910. The token isn't in the first edition (there is a second out) of Schenkman's VA Tokens book. I will e-mail him and inquire. I'd encourage you to post pics on tokencatalog.com or, with your permission, I could post them.

I just heard back from Schenkman - this, plus 5 & 25 denominated tokens are in the Second Edition VA Token book. General store from 1890s. I'm ordering a copy of the book and will try to remember to post what more it says when it arrives.
