Thanks for the legwork, any idea on an age or value?
 

I found one last year. Yours is the same variation as mine, the earlier one. They date back to 1894 and were issued for a number of years after that.

Some history:
Manufacture began in 1896. Active ingredients: phenolpthalein and cascara. Cascara Sagrada is a tree native to British Columbia, and its bark was long used by Native Americans as a laxative. By 1877 the Parke-Davis Company was marketing its preparations of cascara to the masses. Cascara was so popular the trees became overharvested during the 1900s. In 1999, Cascara made up more than 20% of the laxative market, and was found in more drug preparations than any other natural product in North America.

I used to peel chittum bark or cascara bark when I was a kid back in the 70's. We used to get about 8 cants a pound wet and about 35 cents a pound dry. It is actually all over the northwest in the wetter areas where ever you find alder trees.
