French. This brass one has the small embossed letters ā€˜MOD DEPā€™ on the inside of the handle for ā€œmodĆØle deposeā€ā€¦ ie ā€œregistered designā€. Said to be from the 1920s/1930s and priced at Ā£28 ($40).
