Looks like a juvenile rat snake. It looks a little darker than I remember them being though.

I agree with rat snake, probably juvenile. Good snake. I like to have them around to control the meadow voles in my lawn. However, they will climb into your birdhouses too.

A good snake to keep the small "critters" down.
