When You Like A Detecting Find So Much You End Up Buying A Pristine Example

A few weeks back while detecting I found this token:

I like the depiction of the sailing ship. And the fact that i found it on what was the farm of one of our most important whaling families. So I tracked down a mint copy in GB and bought it. It's also a good litmus test to compare a detected coin from 4" deep in the soil, buried for who knows how long, and circulated how much, against a crisp original. Can't help but wonder how and when it ended up buried where it was. May donate the set to our local Whaling Museum.
