Hi

First post thanks for letting me in. I wanted to ask about an odd rock I tripped over on my way to search for arrowheads. It seems to have a couple of noses when looked at properly. I'll attach pictures of it with many angles. The last will be a picture showing the inside of the rock where it looks to have broken before. A strong magnet doesn't stick and my cheap metal detector doesn't pick anything up. It's very dense and heavier than it looks. I found in in a wooded area in jefferson county missouri about 2 years ago. Thank you very much. Any information will help tremendously! To judge size, the tile in the background is 6"x6".

Welcome. Its a nice specimen. It looks like a heavier mineral like iron embedded in sandstone.

It does look exactly like you described. But the white sandstone looking part is much harder than sandstone and it doesn't attract strong magnets and my cheap metal detector doesn't even blink or make a sound even on the iron setting. Thank you for replying . I always appreciate showing it even though I don't know what to call it lol
