Canadian copper coins are between 95 and 98 percent, nickels were 99.9% nickel before 1983.

are you sure about those nickels? my brain is telling me that they have always been and still are 75% copper and 25% nickel (atleast in modern times, 1907 or something until present day)...

1.5 cents is a better price but I would still think about a ryedale and doing it yourself.

The great Madwest is passing his considerable knowledge on building your own on me. I hope to be operationable on small scale in a couple weeks, large scale in a months or so.
