I got this in the free pile at the dump today - I think it's pretty cool . There are some markings , but they are to rusty to read right now . The thing with the pulley clamps to the top of your chimney - it has about 60 feet of chain . Any ideas how old this is ?

I also got this hatchet & a branding iron for wood lobster traps in the same pile . I have been doing almost as good at the local transfer station - as I do at garage sales .

I see stuff at the landfill every day that I want to examine but they are very strict about pilfering in stuff. Oh the crap people throw away simply amaze me.
