Doing my normal run. Hit a near by neighborhood sale and when I finally finished that one, I headed toward the sales near my house. About 11 am I got to a sale near my house. I started poking around, but their prices were pretty high. New toner cartridge, $10. New date books, $5. You know, good stuff, but priced above my normal range. I moved a bag of stuff and underneath was a box. HP 71B. Huge box for an HP calculator. 12x12x2. 2 large books, the calculator, and its old Naugahyde bag. Now, I have NO reception, so I am flying blind, but I know old HP stuff is pretty collectible. She wants $2, so I toss her a $2 bill, and threw this into my car. When I got home, and looked it up, turns out, this is NOT a calculator, but a pocket computer. Sold prices for working models are $200 to $450, but there are NO boxes, NO manuals, No guide books, These prices are JUST for the computer. My computer is MINT MINT MINT. It looks like it has never been touched. I open the battery port, clean as a whistle (stored without the batteries). This thing is Perfect, with the Box, With the books... I pop in 4 aaa batteries, and it lights right up, good as new.

I've listed it for auction for $500 starting bid. Hoping against hope it sets a new record. What a great day!

I’m always surprised by what some of the vintage electronics products will get. Keep us updated.

Turned down an offer of $400. I really should have taken it. I've put my minimum at $450... I'll probably take the next offer of $400, if/when it comes.
