Pocket of Coins - 197!

Started MDing in the surf this month and discovered my first pocket of coins. In a 20 sq yard area I found 197 coins and 3 pieces of junk jewelry in 8 hrs - west coast of Florida. Got too dark to then search for the GOLD underneath the hoard. Like to know from other water/surf MDers about their experiences with pockets of coins and is there really gold underneath? Hope to return to the same spot when weather clears to search for the gold.
